I am just getting into your website and must say i enjoy this site so much it is very easy to understand and thank you for introducing this website for us all.

Can you please explain if i changed my house period, I bought my home in 2007 it was built in 1984 and faces NW1, I but did not move in till feb 2008 can you tell me please is my home a period 7 or period 8 house.

Dear Master Emy,

I have a question regarding about the sitting position when I shift to the new office building next month. There are 2 options that I can choose to position my table in the new building, their details are as follow:

Position 1: (there are 2 readings because it is a L-shaped table, so I can sit facing either side)

W3 - 290 NE1 - 30 A full height parition wall will be behind my back, no view at the back but front view to outside is good Morning sun is on my right side Position 2: (there are 2 readings because it is a L-shaped table, so I can sit facing either side)

SE2 - 130 NE1 - 30

A full glass panel window will be behind my back, back view to outside is good. Morning sun is on my left side

Please advise which position (alternate 1 or 2) is good for me to place my table and the facing direction when work. I cannot provide to you a pictorial view of the layout drawing as I'm unable to paste the drawing to this forum. Many thanks in advance for your valuable advice...

Metal objects which like everything is either Yang or Yin,

I've seen most of the recommended items to solve the 2 and 5 using Yang type of metal such as music box, windchimes, mechanical clock.

Can I use Yin type of metal? I have used metal coins and salt cures to combat the 2 and 5.

Can I use the exercise weights which is made of metal?

Dear May,

This is another common mistakes that people always fail to recognise. Inside the kitchen Stove next to sink, stove opposite fridge are not exactly Fire and Water clash. Their effect is minimal.

However, the major clash is when KITCHEN'S DOOR FACE DIRECTLY TOILET'S DOOR. This is the real clash. Problem to blood circulation, heart, eyes, kidney and ear.

Direction of the house has nothing to do with how you should decorate your house with proper colors schemes. In the old days, even though colors were believe to enhance a person or our house luck, but that is not the main concern in FS theory. Classical Feng shui is about direction, location and energy flow (Chi). It is not about how good you're able to interpret it with colors.

You should check if your bedroom is located in a positive sector and also, the influence of annual Chi (Energy) aka changing patterns of our environment that took place annually and monthly. This has been one of the commonly asked questions. Customers who came to us are often surprise that we actually do not give any recommendation on specific colors they should use. Classical Feng Shui is about how environmental energy flow influence us. Its not about what you should wear or how you should decorate your room with colors.

Recently, a visitor writes to us that he has lost his job after painting his bedroom with blue. He is afraid that blue that represent water is his unfavorable colors. We told him that the incident took place not because of the colors but something else. Later we found out that he had accidentally done a small installation work at a bad location for this year. After advising him what he should do, the problem is being resolved.

Here you can see that filling up your room with colors related to your favorable or unfavorable element will never at all influence your luck. Most important is the Qi (Energy flow). If colors are one of an important factor, we must as well paint our wealth corner in blue that represent water rather than placing a real water flow features.

That is why a practitioner with true Classical Feng Shui background will hardly ever advise how you should fill your room with specific colors or what you should wear.

A water feature or fountain in Home Office is said to bring wealth and prosperity when placed in the Southeast area (Universal Wealth Sector) of your home office.

Classical or Traditional Feng Shui is mainly concerned with how the energy or Ch'i is harnessed from external environment into our premises. It had nothing to do with man-made objects that signified wealth or protection.

You need other application and a detailed study of your office Structure. You must know the different between "Location" and "Direction".

Eight Mansion or Bazhai is an interesting application but yet it can sometimes be misleading. In general, this system is to determine our favorable and unfavorable direction and Sheng Qi is often regards as the best direction. But if you were to dig deeper into the system, it does not necessary mean that.

Coloring the Sheng Qi location in green is a totally wrong concept. Because of its association with wood element, doesn't mean it had to look greenly. This system is about location with direction. If you're trying to enhance your Sheng Qi, You should use the sector often, for instance, placing your work desk and so on.

I like to find out when I renovate my office in the current period, it becomes period 8, right? The thing I am concerned is that the building that house my office is period 7, and it is only my office that get renovated, so should I use the period 7 or 8 chart? Secondly, the building entrance is facing se1, but the main door to my office face another different direction, I should use the facing direction of the main building or rather the direction of my office main door? Your office will remain and follows the period of the whole building, which are period 7. To determine the facing direction, you need to take note of which feng shui formula you're applying. Both building and door facing are equally important. If you're using the flying star theories, you must focus on the direction and intention of the whole building.
